Dallas's Friendly Mac People
The Dallas Macintosh Users Group began life in 1984 soon after the introduction of the first Macintosh. A small group of everyday people met together to learn about this new way of using computers.
The spirit of the individual doing things their own way caught on and now 20 years later our members are still doing things their way, and helping each other get more from owning and using a Mac.
Master Your Macintosh
Yes you can become the master of your computing environment. As a member of DMUG you will meet interesting people, make new friends, and find the answers to all questions Macintosh.
Explore the ever changing world of the internet, learn about digital photo-graphy, check out MP3's, digital audio, making your own movies. The Macintosh is truly today's digital hub, and you can do amazing things with it.
Why join DMUG?
Advantage of numbers.
As a member of a user group, you are not alone. If you're a home user, you never see other Macintosh users. If you work for a large corporation, you may be relying on an information service person who only speaks Windows and has no knowledge of Macs. There is strength in numbers, and with user group support, answers are available.
Some people have questions, but can barely figure out how to ask them. Try DMUG's Random Access portion of our general membership meetings. Raise your hand, you'll get all the possible answers from those who at one time or another were in the same place.
Context Sensitive Help
There's a lot to the Mac and many twists and turns along the road to being a master of your Mac. Have a problem with a specific software application, or a hardware issue that is giving you grief? There's a DMUG memvber who has experienced the same thing, or knows someone who has. Help is only a phone call away.
